NexTrend News Scanning takes News to a whole new level.
Choose from historical or breaking news stories.
Pick a certain time period or search for all possible stories.
Search news from all sources or just pick the ones you want.
Add a symbol and then the fun begins.
You have a choice of “OR”, “AND”, “AND NOT” as customizable scanning fields.
Type any word or phrase you want to search on in any of the news scanning fields and instantly you will have the results.
You can also right click on any symbol or stock chart and instantly display all the news stories available for the issue.
Also set customizable alarms for any of your news searches so when a story comes in you are immediately alerted.
News stories are also flagged in your quote board. If news is released on any stock listed in your quote board a (*N) will immediately appear if the story is less than 5 minutes old, if the story is more than five minutes old the indicator changes to (N).
Scanning Example:
Let’s say you want to find news on Microsoft. Add the symbol MSFT and you would receive all the news on MSFT.
But let’s say you want all the news on MSFT or DELL just use the “OR” statement.
Now, lets say you also want the stories with the word earnings, DELL and INTC you could easily set that up as well with an “AND” statement.
Or if you wanted MSFT stories except if they had the word earnings you could do that as well with the “AND NOT” feature.
With the “OR”, “AND”, and “AND NOT” scanning capabilities you literally can scan on anything you can possibly think of and there is no limit to the amount of key words that you can use. |
